FAQ

What is your Photography approached?

At Lulu Luna Photography, we blend documentary, editorial, and lifestyle photography to authentically capture your family's unique story. Our approach combines posed and candid moments, focusing on genuine interactions and emotions. By avoiding backdrops and excessive props, we emphasize the natural beauty of your environment, whether it's the comfort of your home or a chosen location. This method allows us to create images that are both modern and timeless, reflecting your family's true essence without relying on clichés.

How do I book a photo session with you?

To book a session, please reach out via Facebook, Instagram, or email—this helps us maintain a clear record of our conversation and makes it easier to assist you.

We will provide you with a Quotation Form to fill out. Once completed, we’ll confirm the quotation price and availability with you. If you’re happy with the pricing and date, we will proceed by sending you the Final Reservation Form, and an initial payment is required to secure your booking.

After confirming your session, we’ll send you a preparation guide, request a photo of your chosen location, and discuss inspirational pegs or reference images to ensure we align with your vision.

To officially reserve your session, simply complete the Final Reservation Form and submit the initial payment—once done, your date is confirmed.

Please note that we do not accommodate inquiries via calls or video calls, as written communication allows us to efficiently track details. Thank you for your understanding!

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

Our output process follows this timeline:

  • All Sorted Semi-Edited Photos: Available 1 week after the session.
  • Fully Edited Photos: Delivered 2 weeks after you’ve selected your images.
  • Album / Prints / Frames : Delivered 1 month after sending us your selected images.

If you need the photos sooner, we recommend booking early to allow ample time for quality editing. We prioritize delivering the best images possible, so we don’t rush the process. Please let us know in advance if you have a specific deadline, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs while maintaining the quality of your photos.

If you're interested in ordering album prints or frames, please visit our INVESTMENT TAB to view samples. Once you've decided on your preferred option, let us know, and we’ll send you the pricing details.

When is the best time for Newborn Portraits?

Most newborn photographers recommend scheduling a session within the first two weeks after birth, as babies are sleepiest during this time, making gentle posing easier. This allows for more focused shots of your little one and captures their delicate newborn features before they quickly change.

While we still incorporate intentional newborn and family poses, our approach emphasizes natural interactions, ensuring a relaxed and meaningful session. Many parents also prefer to schedule their session later, around 3 to 6 weeks, when babies are chubbier and moms have had more time to recover.

Ultimately, the timing is up to you and what you’d like to capture. We strive to be as flexible as possible, so you can select a date in advance, and if needed, reach out after your baby is born to adjust your session. We will do our best to accommodate changes based on availability.

What is Lifestyle Photography?

Lifestyle photography is a seamless blend of authentic and thoughtfully guided moments, combining both posed and candid portraits. It strikes a balance between documentary-style storytelling, classic portraiture, and an editorial approach—capturing genuine emotions while incorporating artistic direction and composition to create visually compelling images.

These sessions are typically held in the comfort of your home or at a location of your choice, providing a relaxed and familiar setting for natural interactions. This style is perfect for a variety of sessions, including newborns, sibling portraits, couples, maternity, solo portraits, and family sessions. With a mix of documentary, editorial, and traditional elements, we aim to create images that are both timeless and deeply personal.

Where are you located or do you have a studio?

We don’t have our own studio, as most of our sessions take place in the comfort of our clients’ homes or at a location of their choice. This allows for a more personalized and relaxed experience.

If you prefer a studio setting, we offer a Studio Session package that includes the studio fee—so there are no additional charges for the space. However, if you’d like to choose from our list of other studio options, please note that additional fees may apply depending on the studio selected.

Our location shoots are usually held at Undo House in Antipolo, but we also have other suggested studios with varying rates.

Please keep in mind that travel fees are not included for home or outdoor location shoots. You can find more details in our Pricing Guide. Once you're ready, we’ll send over a quotation form to provide you with a full breakdown of the total cost for your session.

Do you give out RAW PHOTOS or UN-EDITED PHOTOS

RAW files (unprocessed images straight from the camera) are not included in our packages by default. This is in line with our studio policy and standard photography industry practices, as these files have not yet undergone post-processing and do not reflect the final quality and style of our work. However, if you wish to obtain the RAW files, they are available for an additional fee.

Please note the following RAW file policy:

• RAW files will be delivered via a secure download link once the additional fee has been settled.

• These files are for personal archiving only. If you plan to share or have them edited by a third party, proper credit to Lulu Luna Photography Studio is required.

• Once RAW files are released, we are no longer responsible for how they are edited, used, or presented outside of our official deliverables.

Are the Home Service Fee or Transportation Fee included in your packages or covered additionally?

For newborn sessions, the home service fee is not included in the packages and will vary based on your location. For Lifestyle Portraits or Event Photo Coverage, a transportation fee will be charged, which will cover GRAB fees or other transportation expenses.

After discussing the details of your session, we will send you a quotation with the total price, including the appropriate service or transportation fees, so you have a clear breakdown before confirming your booking.

Why aren’t the home service or transportation fees included in the packages?

The packages are designed to cover the professional services provided during your session, such as photography, professional handling of your little one or family, and editing the images. The home service fee and transportation fee are separate because they cover travel expenses, such as GRAB fees or other transportation-related costs.

We want to emphasize that we don’t just “click the camera”; we dedicate our time, talent, and expertise to ensure that you receive the highest quality images and a memorable experience. By separating these fees, we provide clear and transparent pricing for the photography services themselves, while adjusting for location-specific costs.

What studio options do you recommend if a home session is not possible?

We have a few studio recommendations that you can use for your session in case a home setup isn’t feasible. These are trusted studio rentals we’ve worked with, and the fees will be added on top of your selected package, depending on your session type.

Here’s a quick guide:

Newborn Session: Studio rentals can be used for Regular and Stork Packages.

Lifestyle Session: Studio rentals apply to Premium and Luxe Packages.

You may also check our Studio Package tab, which already includes the studio fee—no need to add it separately.

For options and inspiration, you can also refer to our Studio Recommendations and Studio Portrait Packages.

Do the session starts when you arrived at home or when the shooting starts?

Your session will begin at the scheduled date and time you booked with us, including the preparation period.

Please note that the session time starts as soon as we arrive at your location, not when the camera begins shooting.

We kindly ask you to follow the guidelines that we will send you after booking the date to ensure a smooth and enjoyable session. The photographer has a planned flow for the session, the pacing and adjustments will ultimately depend on your child's mood, especially for newborns and if there are toddler siblings.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

We understand that unexpected situations can arise, whether it's due to illness, emergencies, or changes in plans. If you need to reschedule your session—whether it's a newborn, lifestyle portrait, family, maternity, couple, or event photo coverage—please notify us as soon as possible so we can check our availability for a new date.

For newborn sessions, we’re flexible since babies arrive on their own schedule. You can book an estimated date and adjust it once your baby is born.

Your initial payment is non-refundable but will be applied to your new session date. However, in cases of emergencies or sickness that require a full cancellation, we understand and will refund your initial payment upon request.

If there are changes in location, any additional home service or transportation fees will be adjusted accordingly.

We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs—just let us know how we can help! 😊

Newborn Safety & Photographer’s Expertise

At Lulu Luna Photography Studio, your baby's safety is our top priority. Our photographer is professionally trained in newborn handling, employing gentle and safe techniques throughout each session.

We practice baby-led posing, allowing your newborn to naturally settle into comfortable positions without force. This approach ensures that each pose respects your baby's unique flexibility and comfort levels. While we take every precaution to ensure your baby's well-being, it's important to note that newborn photography carries inherent risks, especially concerning posing and positioning. Our team will always provide full support during poses; however, we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur when the baby is not under our direct supervision.

To tailor the session to your baby's needs, we kindly ask you to inform us of any medical conditions, prior injuries, or specific poses you'd prefer to avoid. Early communication of your preferences allows us to customize the session, ensuring both safety and your peace of mind.

By combining professional expertise with a baby-led approach, we aim to create a comfortable environment that captures the natural beauty of your newborn while prioritizing their safety.

Do you provide props or do you do themes?

For newborn sessions, we provide all necessary props, including neutral linens, soft wraps (swaddles), newborn clothes and minimal basket props to create a timeless and cozy feel. Our approach is baby-led, meaning we follow your baby’s natural comfort and will never force a pose they cannot do safely.

For maternity, family, couple, boudoir, baby, and solo portrait sessions, we do not use backdrops or artificial themes. Instead, we embrace natural settings—your home or chosen location becomes the perfect backdrop for authentic moments. However, if you have a specific theme or concept in mind, we’re happy to incorporate it using any props or items you provide.

Our goal is to keep the styling simple, modern, and timeless, capturing genuine emotions and real connections rather than overly staged setups.

Can my furbaby join or bring to the shoot?

Absolutely! I would love to meet your furbabies. Bringing them to the shoot makes me so happy.

Can you do the same editing color like your other photos?

I specialize in creating soft, light-toned images using natural light. The final look of your photos depends on the lighting in your home or chosen location, so colors may vary based on the available light. To achieve the best results, I prefer using natural daylight over artificial indoor lighting. However, I can bring artificial lighting equipment if needed, though natural light remains my preference.

What is your mode of payment?

We accept payments through cash, same-day bank transfers, GCash, or other e-wallet services. To secure your session, an initial payment is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance should be settled on the day of the session.

Is the travel time in Event Photo Coverage included in the number of shoot hours

Yes, travel time between locations during your event is included in the total shooting hours of our Event Photo Coverage.

For example,:

  • If your event is scheduled for 3 hours and there is travel time between the ceremony and reception venues, this travel time is considered part of the 3-hour coverage.
  • If your baptismal starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 10:30 AM, and your reception begins at 12:30 PM, the 2-hour interval between these events is considered part of the 3-hour coverage.

To maximize photography time, some of our clients choose to have us join them in their vehicle on the way to the reception, provided there is sufficient space. This approach ensures that all aspects of your event, including transitions between locations, are documented within the agreed-upon timeframe.

How do you handle situations where a client is rude or displays a negative attitude during the initial inquiry?

At Lulu & Luna Portraits by Grace, we are committed to providing a professional and respectful experience for all our clients. A positive client-photographer relationship is essential for creating beautiful and meaningful portraits. If a potential client exhibits rude behavior or a negative attitude during the initial inquiry process, we may choose to decline to provide our services. This decision ensures that we maintain a harmonious working environment and deliver the best possible experience for all our clients.

7. Newborn Safety & Photographer’s Expertise

Lulu Luna Photography Studio is committed to providing a safe and comfortable experience for your newborn. The photographer has received specialized training in handling newborns and babies, and employs safe and gentle techniques during the session.

While every precaution is taken to ensure your baby’s safety and well-being, it is important to understand that there are inherent risks associated with posing, positioning, and handling babies. The photographer and assistant are always attentive and ensure that the baby is properly supported. However, they are not liable for any accidents or injuries that may occur during the session when the baby is not under their direct supervision.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform the photographer beforehand of any prior injuries or conditions, or specific poses or positions they are uncomfortable with or do not wish to be performed on their baby. We kindly ask that clients communicate any concerns or preferences early on to ensure a smooth and customized session.

8. Photo Usage & Copyright
