These first few weeks can feel like a beautiful blur - lots of cuddles, little sleep, feeding, changing diapers, and getting to know your new baby.
Our newborn sessions are designed to be slow, relaxed, and baby-led. You don't need to worry about making your baby sleep perfectly or behave a certain way. We simply follow your baby's needs and capture the little moments as they naturally happen.
My goal is not only to photograph your baby, but to document your connection as a new family - the tiny details, sleepy cuddles, little fingers and toes, the way your baby fits in your arms, and the everyday moments you may not realize you'll miss someday.
The session includes a combination of natural lifestyle images, gently posed portraits, baby details, and family photographs. I will guide you when needed, so you don't have to worry about posing or knowing what to do in front of the camera.
When is the best time for a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are ideally photographed during the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are usually sleepier and naturally curl into those sweet newborn positions. If your baby is already older than two weeks, don't worry. We can still create beautiful portraits - we simply follow your baby's comfort, mood, and stage.
If you are expecting, we recommend booking during pregnancy using your estimated due date. Once your baby arrives, we can finalize the exact session date. Your baby's actual arrival date is what matters most.
What if my baby is over 1 month old?
You can still have a beautiful newborn lifestyle session. Older babies are often more awake, alert, and active, which means we may capture more eye contact, expressions, and personality. However, if you are hoping for sleepy, curled-up newborn poses, we recommend scheduling the session before 1 month old, when babies are more likely to sleep deeply and settle into newborn positions.
There is no wrong age for a newborn session. We simply adjust the session to suit your baby's age and personality.
NEWBORN IN-HOME SESSION
A home session allows you to enjoy a relaxed and stress-free experience without packing up all your baby's essentials. Everything you need is already within reach, and you can stay comfortable in your own space. And don't worry about tidying up - we simply look for the areas with the best light and choose simple spaces that photograph beautifully.
Our sessions are baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, soothing, and breaks whenever needed. Sessions usually last around 2 - 3 hours, giving us plenty of time to follow your baby's pace while capturing a beautiful mix of gently posed portraits and natural lifestyle moments with parents and siblings.
For the session, we ask that you have good natural light and enough clear space to set up our linen for your baby's individual portraits, preferably near a window. A comfortably warm and calm environment is also ideal for your baby's comfort.
Natural light is always our preferred choice for its soft and beautiful look. However, if your home has limited natural light, we can bring backup lighting when needed. If your home doesn't have enough space to accommodate the session, we also offer a Newborn Studio Session or can recommend a suitable studio-style location.

My newborn sessions include specialized newborn handling and posing, which is an important part of what you are investing in when booking a professional newborn photographer.
Newborns require a different level of care, patience, and experience when being held, positioned, soothed, and photographed safely. With my specialization in newborn photography, I am experienced in working with babies at this delicate stage and understand how to adjust each session according to your baby's needs.
This expertise allows me to create beautiful, natural portraits while keeping your baby's comfort, safety, and well-being my priority throughout the session.
